From stunning beachfront new builds with highly complex and detailed roofs to luxury home redevelopment projects that require floor to ceiling protection, Torch Works brings innovation, experience and expert craftsmanship to complete every waterproofing project to a superior standard.
The Torch Works Team
Dave and Daryn are both licensed building practitioners with almost two decades of industry experience. Alongside being the company directors, they are both also on the tools and involved in every job from start to finish. Their expertise, strong supplier relationships, and the family-feel of the business makes Torch Works the waterproofing contractor of choice in Northland.
Dave Cave
In the industry since 2005, Dave enjoys working with his hands, being outside, and constantly moving to new sites and seeing new places. His strengths are communication, managing staff, and client relations. What he enjoys most about his work is setting up the layout of a roof to maximise aesthetics and minimise wastage. He’s a family man and a real problem solver who also loves watching and coaching kids sports and playing a bit of golf.
Daryn Pearce
Daryn has worked in the trades since leaving school and he has a true passion for the work, the team and giving clients the best results. Alongside the day-to-day management of the business, Daryn specialises in application and the finer detailing work with the torch. Working on architectural designed homes in beautiful locations is special to him, and in his spare time you are likely to find him playing sports or with his kids and the dogs on the beach.
More than expert waterproofing
Torch Works supports several local schools, clubs and initiatives and, specifically youth sports. Some of the organisations we’ve supported over the years are Junior Golf at the Waipu Golf Club, Waipu Primary School, Ruakaka Primary School, Waipu Lions Club, Waipu Cove Surf Life Saving Club, Ruakaka Surf Lifesaving Patrol, and Bream Bay United AFC.
